Welcome to The Cardboard Collector (thecardboardcollector.com). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, multi-vendor marketplace platform, services, and applications.

By registering an account, purchasing items, or opening a vendor store storefront, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease using the platform.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • Age Requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or operate a vendor store.
  • Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account or vendor storefront at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or harms the marketplace community.

2. Marketplace Vendor Storefronts

  • Store Creation: Registered users may establish a vendor store to list collectibles, including sports cards, gaming cards, Pokémon cards, and comic books.
  • Pricing and Descriptions: Vendors are entirely responsible for setting their own item pricing, shipping costs, and establishing detailed, accurate descriptions.
  • Prohibited Items: Vendors may not list counterfeit items, proxy cards passed off as authentic, stolen goods, or items that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties. Listing such items will result in immediate storefront ban and forfeiture of fees.
  • Fulfillment: Vendors are legally obligated to fulfill orders and ship items to buyers within the processing timeline specified on their store page.

3. Fees, Subscriptions, and Payments

  • Subscription Fees: Operating an active vendor storefront requires a monthly subscription fee of $25 per month.
  • Free Trial Period: New vendors receive their first month free. Subscription billing will automatically commence exactly 30 days after store creation unless canceled.
  • Transaction Fees: In addition to the flat monthly fee, a 3% transaction processing fee applies to checkout sales to clear external payment merchant costs. Vendors retain 97% of their total transaction revenue.
  • Cancellation Policy: Vendors may cancel their store subscription at any time via the Vendor Dashboard with no long-term contractual penalties. Fees already paid are non-refundable.

4. Marketplace Transactions and Disputes

  • Platform Role: The Cardboard Collector acts strictly as an e-commerce platform and venue facilitating transactions between independent buyers and vendors. We are not a party to the actual sales contracts and do not take physical possession of inventory items.
  • Authenticity and Condition Disputes: Buyers and vendors are encouraged to resolve item condition or grading discrepancies directly. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, users can open a formal dispute through our support portal at info@thecardboardcollector.com.
  • Limitation of Liability: The Cardboard Collector is not liable for structural financial losses, undelivered mail shipments, or misreputed items sold by independent vendors on our network.

5. Giveaways and Promotions

  • Eligibility: All promotional giveaways hosted on the platform—including the active promotional sweepstakes links on our primary domains—are subject to specific structural game rules outlined at the time of the event.
  • Compliance: To maintain the equity of our giveaway loops, entries tied to actions like Vendor Registrations or Card Item Uploads must represent real, active storefront inventory. Deceptive or system-gaming actions will void all promotional entries.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: The layout, trademarked logos, visual designs, infrastructure software, and text code of thecardboardcollector.com are the exclusive property of The Cardboard Collector.
  • User Content: When you upload inventory images, logos, or copy to your storefront, you grant The Cardboard Collector a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote those assets across our advertising and social media channels.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the platform shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising out of these Terms shall be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.

8. Amendments and Contact Information

We reserve the right to revise or replace these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform following updates constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
