Official Contest Rules

Contest Overview

The Cardboard Collector Vendor Recruitment Contest is designed to reward participants who help grow the vendor community on The Cardboard Collector marketplace for sports cards and comic books.

Participants will recruit new vendors to subscribe to vendor accounts. Eligible participants who meet the recruitment requirements will qualify for prize drawings and performance-based awards.

This contest is sponsored and administered by The Cardboard Collector (“Sponsor”).

The contest is open to individuals who:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have a valid VENDOR account with The Cardboard Collector
  • Comply with all website terms of service
  • Are not employees, contractors, or immediate family members of The Cardboard Collector administration (if applicable)

Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility.

The contest begins on April 1 2026 and ends when 100 participants have each successfully recruited at least 50 qualifying vendor subscriptions.

Participants may enter the contest by recruiting individuals to subscribe as vendors on The Cardboard Collector.

To qualify:

  1. A participant must recruit 50 or more new vendors.
  2. Each recruited vendor must subscribe to a paid vendor account for at least one paid month.
  3. Vendor accounts include a first month free trial, therefore qualifying vendors must remain subscribed for a minimum of two months total (free month + first paid month).
  4. The participant must be properly credited for the recruitment using the official referral or tracking system provided by The Cardboard Collector. A unique code will be sent to every Vendor.  Your recruits will have to enter the code when signing up for their vendor account for you to get credit for that individual.

The first 100 participants who successfully recruit 50 qualifying vendor subscriptions will become official contest qualifiers.

Once qualified, those participants will be entered into the $10,000 Grand Prize Drawing.

If fewer than 100 participants reach the qualification threshold during the contest period, the drawing will include all qualified participants with $100 taken subtracted from the prize pool for every VENDOR WE ARE SHORT to complete the original goal.

The first 100 participants who successfully recruit 50 qualifying vendor subscriptions will become official contest qualifiers.

Once qualified, those participants will be entered into the $10,000 Grand Prize Drawing.

One (1) participant from the pool of qualified contestants will be randomly selected to receive:

Grand Prize:
💰 $10,000 USD (Unless the 100 Vendors are not met then it subtracts $100 per Vendor we are short of 100)

The drawing will be conducted after verification of all qualifying vendor subscriptions.

In addition to the grand prize drawing:

  • The participant who recruits the highest number of qualifying vendor subscriptions during the contest period will receive:

💰 Top Recruiter Prize: $5,000 USD

If two or more participants are tied for the highest number of qualifying subscriptions, the prize may be split or determined by tie-breaking rules at the discretion of the Sponsor.

For a vendor subscription to qualify:

  • The vendor must be a new account
  • The vendor must remain subscribed through at least one paid billing cycle
  • The vendor must not cancel before the completion of the first paid month
  • Duplicate, fraudulent, or self-created accounts are prohibited

Sponsor reserves the right to review and validate all subscriptions.

Participants may not:

  • Create fake vendor accounts
  • Pay vendors to sign up purely to qualify
  • Use automated systems, bots, or spam
  • Misrepresent The Cardboard Collector
  • Violate website policies

Any violation may result in disqualification from the contest.

Winners will be notified via the email associated with their The Cardboard Collector account.

Winner does not have to respond when the winner is declared. Money will be automatically have the funds wired to their account within 7 days of contest end.

Prize payments may require:

  • Identity verification
  • Tax documentation if required by law
  • Compliance with all contest rules

Prizes will be paid within 7 days of verification.

Winners are responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with prizes. A 1099 will be provided for tax purposes.

The Sponsor reserves the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the contest if fraud or technical issues occur
  • Disqualify participants violating the rules
  • Interpret and enforce contest rules

All decisions by the Sponsor are final.

Participation in the contest constitutes acceptance of these Official Contest Rules.
